The residential complex Tarforst is located directly on Campus I of the University in the middle of a park of the University.
The buildings dating from 1981, 1991 and 2000 can accommodate a total of 419 students.
Six units are equipped for the disabled and adapted to the needs of wheelchair users. Residents can reach the buildings of Campus I in less than 5 minutes on foot.
The natural surroundings with a biotope, many meadows and numerous walking paths invite you to relax and learn in the countryside, especially in summer.
In 2013, the park was voted one of the most beautiful landscape garden locations in Germany. On and around the bustling university campus, in addition to the cafeteria and several cafeterias, numerous snacks and leisure and cultural facilities are open all day long.
Various shopping facilities can be found in the nearby residential area.

You can apply for our student residences online at any time. Applications are open to all matriculated students of Universität Trier, Hochschule Trier and Theologische Fakultät Trier.Forms will be processed on a first come, first served basis. Due to the high demand, the duration of stay is limited to eight semesters initially. It is possible to extend the rental period if the student can prove that they are in the final stage of their degree at this time.Applications from disabled students, students with children, foreign students and students receiving BAföG support will be processed as a prioriity.
Exchange students should contact the International Office (Akademisches Auslandsamt der Hochschule) which is responsible for procurement of living space.
