On the campus of the University of Trier, 84 energy-efficient and sustainable apartments in modular wood-hybrid construction were built in just six months. The innovative wood hybrid construction as well as the use of photovoltaics and air-to-water heat pumps enable energy savings even below the KfW 40 standard. The actual final energy demand is almost 6 kWh per square metre of living space per year.
The residential complex Enercase belongs to the complex of the residential complex Tarforst.
The warm rent, including all ancillary costs, for the 84 fully furnished accommodation units (of which nine are barrier-free apartments) is 325,- Euro per month.
The approximately 20 square metre apartments were manufactured in cooperation with the Caritas workshops in Trier with tailor-made furnishings according to modern design standards.
In addition to a high quality of living, the feel-good atmosphere will play an important role, because the future-oriented concept for student housing in Trier is based on the Enercase motto:
Live, read, laugh.
For example, there is a so-called Book Crossing Center in the outdoor area.
